The project
Villa Lago had good bones and tired rooms. We kept the arched windows and high ceilings, stripped the walls back to lime plaster and laid new terrazzo made with stone from the surrounding hills.
Ash joinery runs through the house, from the library wall to the long kitchen, keeping the palette light so the lake remains the focus of every room.
